As a portrait painter, my goals are to convey the individual personality of the animal and the relationship between animal and human. The results can be whimsical or formal, natural or stylized, depending on the animal and client. While I have done many dog portraits, I also paint horses and people.

BiographyTo commission a pet portrait, contact Beren at demotier@comcast.net. I like to meet the animal and take the photographs digitally, so we can look at images and talk about what I will try to achieve in the portrait. If distance makes this impossible, I can work from your photo--which must be in focus, close-up, accurate in color, and full of detail, as well as a pose you wish captured that communicates the animal's personality.
Prices are determined by size and subject: Dog portraits are: $300 for 12" x 12"; $350 for 16" x 16" or 16" x 20"; $400 for 20" x 20" or 18" x 24"; $450 for 24" x 24" or 20" x 24"; $500 for 24" x 30" or 30" x 30." Add $100 to price for each additional animal pictured in the artwork. Prices subject to change
